Going ... Going ... Gone!!!!
We've Gone Google!
Google Things To Do:
Fix your calendar time zone - the default for calendars was GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), we are in the Eastern Time Zone.
-- Open your Calendar and click on the gear in the upper right corner of the page to open your Calendar Settings.
-- Use the drop down to select (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time for Your current time zone.
-- Now your calendar will reflect the right time for meetings and appointments with others.
Clean out old @greensborocollege.edu email addresses from your Email Contacts.
This will delete all of the contacts who have @greensborocollege.edu addresses from your own contact list. Because we have email addresses shared for our domain, you will still be able to see email addresses for anyone with an @greensboro.edu email when you search or type in the To: or CC: fields. As you email people and they email you, your personal contact list will rebuild itself. If you have groups, you will need to re-add people to them using their new addresses. If you don't have many contacts, you could edit them individually.
(DO NOT follow these steps if you have contact information besides email addresses that you want to keep or if you have groups that you want to keep intact.)
-- Open your Email and click on the Contacts link (right below Mail under the Gmail logo on the upper left).
-- Enter greensborocollege.edu in the Search Contacts box at the top and click on the Search Contacts button.
-- A list of contacts with the old domain will show.
-- Click in the small box at the top to select all in the list.
-- Click on More and choose delete contacts.
Missing something? Has someone sent you email you haven't received? It is probably hiding in your SPAM folder!
Find it and fix it:
-- The SPAM folder is located under the additional folders on the left (below your other folders) under the "4 more" link.
-- Click on the "Manage Labels" link in the dropdown menu.
-- Once in the "Settings/Labels" window, find the entry for "Spam" and click on the "show if unread" setting.
-- When you receive new messages labled by Google as Spam, the folder will show in the list on the left (with the number of unread messages indicated).
-- When you open the Spam folder, you can open any valid messages and click the "Not Spam" button to move them to your Inbox (this will also help Google learn what is and is not Spam).
-- You can delete the messages that are spam.
Are you an Alum? If so and you have used your email recently or were redirecting your email, you've come to Google with us!
-- Your email address is now @alumni.greensboro.edu but your username and password should be the same as it was.
-- If you have problems logging in please contact the staff in Institutional Advancement. Please see http://greensboro.edu/alumni/ for more information about Alumni services.

Use the same username and password for moodle as you use for your email. Do NOT put in the @greensboro.edu!
You will also use moodle to change your password for email. Once logged in, click on your name, which will appear in the upper right-hand corner of Moodle, beside the “Logout” link. On the resulting page, click the button at the bottom of the page labeled “Change Password.” Provide the current password and new password where requested, and click “Save changes.” Your password will immediately be updated in Moodle, and will then sync over to Google for your email password within 10 minutes. Until the new password has synced over to your email account, you will be able to continue to use the old password for email access.
Please check back frequently for updates.
