Lunch Time Career Connections

Complete this form to request a day to participate in our Lunch Time Career Connections program

Lunch Time Career Connections allow employers and graduate and professional schools the opportunity to speak to Greensboro College students about their organization, available internship and employment opportunities, and programs while mingling with students outside the Fowler Dining Hall during the lunch hours, a less formal environment.

Format

Lunch Time Career Connections can happen on most any day of your choosing. A table is set up outside the student dining area between the hours of 11:00 and 1:30, the heaviest traffic hours. Enjoy meeting our students while raising awareness of your organization. Don’t forget to bring materials that will help our students learn about your organization and potential opportunities!

Employers and professionals who wish to come to campus to meet Greensboro College students and talk to them about their organization, internship and employment opportunities should complete the form linked at the top of this page. You may also email us at caryn.atwater@greensboro.edu for further information.

Lunch Time Career Connections are also a great opportunity for GC alum to give back to Greensboro College and current students by coming back and speaking to our students about topics and issues that will help them to be successful.

Offer Internship Opportunities

Internships help students gain valuable work experience, define interests, sharpen skills, evaluate plans for employment or graduate studies and make professional connections.

Benefits to the Employer:

  • Gain input and fresh perspective from enthusiastic and motivated students
  • Enlist interns to complete special projects

Each semester hour credit requires 45 clock hours of work. Typically, students receive 4 credits requiring an average of 12 clock hours per week, a total of 180 clock hours for the semester (based on a 15 week semester)

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”
