PAWS Orientation Registration

PAWS: Preparing, Advising, & Welcoming Students

PAWS is a one-day, new student orientation program during the summer where incoming students register for classes and learn about campus and academic life at Greensboro College. This is their first opportunity to get involved on campus, connect with current and incoming students, and meet faculty and staff. PAWS is also a time for families to complete paperwork and ask me questions related to financial aid, student accounts, and health services. You will have your schedule created before your PAWS date and an opportunity to discuss it with an academic advisor that day.

PAWS DATES FOR TRADITIONAL STUDENTS ENTERING IN Fall 2024

Each PAWS session will be capped at 60 students, so we strongly encourage you to register early to get the date that best fits your schedule. Please note that you cannot register for PAWS until you pay your deposit.

Sessions will be taken off the registration form once they reach the 60-student maximum. This may happen before the registration deadline.

Students attending PAWS are limited to a maximum of two guests. No exceptions will be made to this policy. All guests must pay a $15 registration fee with credit card on the morning of the student’s PAWS session.

  1. Go to the Pride Page and select 1st tab – Steps To Enroll.
  2. Under Getting Ready, select PAWS Family Member Fee.
  3. Select your number of guests.
  4. Click submit payment, and it will take you to the payment screen.
  5. Once you submit your payment, it will automatically go on your record and our Student Accounts office will be notified.

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”

- Joshua Fitzgerald, Class of ’19, Mathematics Major

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
