Greensboro College Honors Outstanding Musicians

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College honored six outstanding student musicians at the college’s spring Jazz Ensemble concert April 30.

The awards and their winners are:

  • Hunt Family Music Scholarship: Ashton Jay Albright, a sophomore K-12 music education major from Liberty, N.C.
  • Luella Pugh Knott Music Award: Tesla Ann Chapman, a senior music major from Randleman, N.C.
  • Luella Pugh Knott Music Award: Jonah Benjamin Springs, a senior K-12 music education major from Stokesdale, N.C.
  • Jazz Ensemble Award: Brooke Nicole Peele, a sophomore K-12 music education major from Winston-Salem, N.C.

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”
