Alumni & Homecoming Weekend Highlights

IT WAS GREAT SEEING YOUR SMILING FACES!

What an incredible time we had at this year’s biggest campus event! Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and current families all came together for an unforgettable celebration.

We honored our amazing Alumni Award winners, toured campus, and explored the museum and Pride Shop. Our Pride was high as we cheered on our Women’s and Men’s Soccer and Football teams, tailgated with friends, and grabbed merch at the Pride Shop.

A special thank you goes to our food truck vendors, dining staff, and Britt’s Coffee House for keeping everyone fueled and smiling all day long.

This year, we also celebrated the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1975 — along with reunion classes from 1980 through 2020 and our Golden Group (1974 and earlier).

What a weekend full of laughter, memories, and Pride spirit. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Greensboro College class of 2019

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”

- Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Class of ’19, Mathematics Major

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
