Greensboro College Board of Trustees Promotes, Grants Tenure to Several Professors
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College Board of Trustees today approved several faculty promotions, granted tenure to a professor, and granted emerita status to another.
Those affected are:
Natasha Veale: promoted from associate professor to full professor of special education. Veale, who holds B.S. degrees from both the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and N.C. A&T State University, an M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Ph.D. from Capella University, joined the faculty in 2014.
John Barbrey: Promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of criminal justice and granted tenure. Barbrey, who holds a B.A. from Clemson University, an M.P.A. from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, joined the faculty in 2016.
Elena King: promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of English and of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. King, who holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A.T. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, joined the faculty in 2014.
Wm. Perry Morgan-Hall: promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of theatre. Morgan-Hall, who holds a B.F.A. and M.S. from Long Island University and an M.F.A. from Naropa University, joined the faculty in 2011.
Anna Peluso: promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of health sciences. Peluso, who holds a B.S., M.S., D.P.T. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, joined the faculty in 2016.
The board also granted emerita status to Debra Davidson, professor of education. Davidson holds a B.S. from Appalachian State University, an M.S. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and is retiring this spring after having served on the faculty since 1986.
