Greensboro College Board of Trustees Elects New Members and 2018 Officers

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College Board of Trustees elected two new members, re-elected two more, and elected its officers for 2018 during its meeting Oct. 6.

The new members, who take office Jan. 1 for four-year terms, are Brittany Carroll ’12 and Martha Bradberry ’74.

In addition to her Greensboro College degree, Carroll holds an M.A. in communications and media studies from High Point University. She has been a program assistant with the city of Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Department and also has worked in event planning and sales with the United Way of Greater Greensboro and the Rhino Times.

She co-chaired the leadership-giving group Greensboro College Society in 2014-15 with her father, Roy Carroll II ’85, and serves on the board of the college’s current capital campaign, GC2020: Uniquely Focused.

Bradberry worked for the college’s Office of Admissions early in her career before joining Jefferson-Pilot (now Lincoln Financial). A former member of the board of directors of the Greensboro College Alumni Association, she also is a member of the Greensboro College Society and is founding chair of the School of Business Advisory Council.

The board also reappointed trustees Thomas Clawson and Lisa Wall ’89 to second four-year terms, effective Jan. 1. Board members must rotate off after two four-year terms; no board members will be rotating off this year.

And the board elected its officers for 2018:

  • President: Kevin Green ’78
  • First Vice Chair: Candace Kime ’69
  • Second Vice Chair: Russell Myers ’82
  • Secretary: Fred Jones
