Greensboro College Foundation Board of Directors Elected for 2018
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three members of the Greensboro College Board of Trustees and two senior college members were elected Oct. 6 to the Board of Directors of the Greensboro College Foundation.
The five are:
- The Rev. Frank “Duke” Ison, a trustee
- Fred Jones, secretary of the Board of Trustees
- Lynn Lane ’73, chair of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees
- Anne Hurd ’81, vice president and chief advancement officer
- Chris Elmore, vice president and chief financial officer.
The five, elected by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees, will serve one-year terms effective Jan. 1.
The Greensboro College Foundation is a nonprofit created by the college to accept gifts of real property.
Greensboro College provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.
Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master’s degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features an 18-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
