Greensboro College Hosts Carter Mario Speaking on Business Success Feb. 6

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College’s School of Business presents attorney Carter Mario speaking to the school’s Leadership Fitness class on “Achieving Career Success Through Self-Controlled Motivation, Part 1,” 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in 214 Proctor Hall East on campus.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

Mario is president and CEO of Carter Mario Injury Lawyers in Connecticut, a practice representing the rights of those injured by the negligence of others.

The firm was cited as a top customer-service organization by business author John DeJulius in his best-selling book, “What’s the Secret?” It also won the 2010 National Customer Service Award given by the DiJulius Group, which trains companies such as Starbuck’s, the Ritz-Carlton, and Disney in customer service.

The firm also has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships. Mario also speaks frequently across Connecticut on the dangers of distracted and drunken driving.

Mario was a high-school national wrestling champion before receiving a scholarship to wrestle for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a captain for two years and won an Atlantic Coast Conference championship. He also is a graduate of the Stetson College of Law.

He currently helps coach and support youth wrestling throughout New England and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
