Greensboro College Offers “Emerging Leaders” Training for Early- and Mid-Career Professionals
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College will offer its Emerging Leaders Series training for early- and mid-career professionals in October in both a three-day “boot camp” format and a more extended format.
The series is for managers in corporate, nonprofit or government organizations who must improve the performances of their teams and who want to improve their leadership skills.
The three-day boot camp will be held 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Oct. 18-20. Lunch will be provided all three days.
The three-week schedule will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, Oct. 25 and 27 and Nov. 1, 3, 8, and 10. Lunch will be provided at all sessions.
The boot-camp series will take place in Mane Stage in the college’s Reynolds Center, 1015 W. Market St. (corner of Tate Street). The extended-format sessions will take place in the Sternberger Cultural Center in James Addison Jones Library on the college’s main campus at 815 W. Market St. (corner of College Place).
Both formats of the series involve researched-based curriculum from the Greensboro-based Center for Creative Leadership, delivered by two facilitators from Development by Design. They include six topics:
- Influence – The Business of Getting Things Done
- Step Up to Conflict
- Feedback That Works
- Leading People Through Change
- Selling Your Ideas
- Boundary Spanning Leadership: Turning Boundaries into Frontiers
