Greensboro College Offers Ghost Tour Friday, Oct. 19

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College invites the public to join a ghost tour of Main Building at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19.

The event, which is sponsored by the college’s History Club, is free and open to the public. It will begin in the Alumni Parlor on the first floor of Main Building. Refreshments will be served.

Free parking is available behind the college’s Admissions Welcome Center at West Market Street and College Place.

The tour will be led by two professional mediums, Jean Linville of Walkertown and the Rev. Dr. J. David Michaels of Asheboro.

Linville is a founding member of the Walkertown Area Historical Society and has engaged in community historical work for more than 10 years. She has been a well-known “seer” for more than 50 years. Since a child, she has claimed the ability to hear and communicate with spirits. Now retired, she is currently working on a book of the haunted and spiritual history of Walkertown.

He is a psychic/medium and Group Founder of Walkertown Paranormal Discussion Group. He holds a B.S in computer science and doctorate in theology and psychology.

Main Building and James Addison Jones Library long have been reputed by alumni to be haunted.

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”
