Greensboro College Offers “Retirement 101” Seminars

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College will offer an entertaining and informative “Retirement 101” seminar beginning later in April to help adults between 50 and 70 to plan for retirement.

The course will help participants create a plan to retire early, integrate their finances with their goals and values, teach attendees to use new tax-law changes to their advantage, and instruct participants on how to ask the right questions when evaluating insurance coverage.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify strategies to build, sustain and distribute wealth.
  • Understand the costs and access the risks in retirement.
  • Understand the rules regarding Social Security and how to maximize benefits.
  • Minimize taxes today and in retirement to maximize cash flow.
  • Properly distribute estate to beneficiaries.

Participants may choose a Tuesday-evening or a Saturday-morning schedule. Tuesday sessions are scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. April 24 and May 1 and 8. Saturday sessions are scheduled for 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 and 28.
