Greensboro College Presents Winter Concert March 3
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College Department of Music presents its annual Winter Concert, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in Gail Brower Huggins Performance Center in Odell Building on campus.
Admission is free, and the public is invited; donations to support the Music Department will be gladly accepted. Free parking is available behind the college’s Admissions Welcome Center at West Market Street and College Place.
The concert will include performances by the college’s Wind Ensemble, Chorale, and Chamber Singers.
The Chamber Singers will perform “Glorious Everlasting,” by M. Thomas Cousins; “Set Me as a Seal,” by Renee Clausen; and “Walking on the Green Grass,” by Michael Hennagin.
The Chamber Singers will perform “Cantate Domino,” by Mark Hayes; “Bashana Haba’ah,” arranged by John Leavitt; “Dona Nobis Pacem,” by Mark A. Miller; “You Shall Go Out with Joy,” by David Edmonds; “Dancing on the Edges of Time,” by Craig Carnahan; “Choose Something Like a Star,” by Randall Thompson; and “Bonse Aba,” by Victor C. Johnson.
The Wind Ensemble will perform a variety of selections.
