Greensboro College’s Leadership Fitness Class Presents Bill Lam as Speaker Oct. 9

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College’s Leadership Fitness class will feature longtime wrestling coach Bill Lam speaking on spirituality, 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in 106 Proctor Hall East on campus.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available behind the college’s Admissions Welcome Center at West Market Street and College Place.

Lam is another in a series of speakers who have addressed the School of Business’s Leadership Fitness class on various chapters of the book “Leadership Fitness” by longtime football coach and college-athletics administrator Homer Rice.

Lam served as head wrestling coach at the University of North Carolina from 1972 through 2003. During that period, he won 15 Atlantic Coast Conference titles and was named the conference’s Coach of the Year 10 times and the NCAA’s National Coach of the Year once. He also was the university’s head cross-country coach and won a conference championship.

Since 2005 he has been president of Wrestling with Life LLC, a consulting firm focused on leadership with clients including Red Bull, General Motors, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
