Greensboro College’s Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation Colloquium Will Address Homelessness Sept. 26
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College’s 2018-2019 Tannenbaum-Sternberger Colloquium series will begin Sept. 26 with a session addressing homelessness.
The speaker, Marcus Hyde, an organizer with the Homeless Union of Greensboro, will speak on “’Broken Windows’ or Human Beings: Mass Homelessness, Human Rights, and People’s Bodies in Spaces.”
The event will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Campbell Lyceum, 109 Proctor Hall West on campus. The event is free and open to the public; a reception will follow.
The theme of the 2018-2019 colloquium series is “The Informed Citizen.”
The Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation, which underwrites the series, is a private foundation that strives to improve the quality of life for the people of Guilford County, N.C., by funding projects that make a difference in the lives of the people in the community.
