Fall Convocation

Fall Convocation is an academic ceremony and tradition for Greensboro College, where incoming students are formally recognized and welcomed as the newest members of our academic community. It is also at this ceremony where new students affirm (and sign) the GC honor code and receive their Greensboro College lapel pin.

The Fall Convocation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Huggins Performance Center.*  Attendance at this event is required of all new/incoming traditional students. All returning Greensboro College students, faculty and staff are invited to attend as well. Business casual attire is required by new students and staff.

“I loved the GC Honors program and Greensboro College. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.”

Joshua currently studies astrodynamics at Virginia Tech University and is an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. Candidate.
